MRO: from paper to a circuit

MRO comes from something I lived through, in a workshop where everything was still done by hand.

I remember the back and forth, non-stop, between the hangar and the administration office. Documents piled up on the desk. Time spent looking for one paper, then the next. Release certificates written one by one. The company was run the old way: no software, no management contract, day to day, with no long-term vision. We worked enormously, and we built nothing.

It is for the people who want to get out of that that I imagined MRO. For those who want to move to something more structured, without getting lost in a monster of a system. The software is simple, on purpose. It puts itself in their place: the work coming in, the job card to prepare, the parts, the documents, the certificate on the way out — everything enters a circuit, and each thing is found where you left it. The time you save is not in the speed of a screen. It is in the trips you no longer make and the papers you no longer look for.

MRO replaces neither the mechanic nor the quality manager. It is their memory and their circuit, not their judgement. It is basic, and I stand by it: you start there, and you add with the workshop what it is missing, at the moment it needs it. The workshop moves forward, and its software moves with it.
